allegra corner word count • 1381 thread setting • empty tower; early evening listening too • never grow up by tswift notes • awe! <3 credit • too moi![/ul] one month. he honestly couldn't believe it had been one month already. time had flown by and it felt as though he had asked Allegra to be his girlfriend just yesterday. every time he saw her he couldn't help but smile. every time he was near her he couldn't help but touch her in some form. whether it was holding her hand, or placing his arms around her, or even kissing her. he just couldn't help himself. she was his. for years he had waited to be able to call her that and now she was completely and utterly his. when they were in class together and he caught sight of the ring upon her finger it would distract him and make him smile like a mad men. when he had read the article claiming that they were engaged he had laughed and dozens of people had asked him if they were. he didn't dispute that they were but would just shrug his shoulders and grin. only those that were closest to them knew that it was a promise ring, though in a sense they might as well have been engaged. he didn't have any intention of looking at any other girl let alone being with anyone else, ever. he had the girl that he wanted for today, tomorrow and forever. there was no body more perfect out there for him and no body else he could picture himself getting old with. she kept him on his toes and made him smile in ways that he could never imagine. sure Evan may only be sixteen but he counted himself lucky that he found the one girl he was meant to be with so early in life instead of being worried that things were rushing along to fast. Allegra had been his best friend since he was four years old, she knew everything there was to know about him. well, except that he was an animagus but she was soon going to find that out as well. today was their one month anniversary, probably not a big deal to anyone else but it was a big deal to him. after the hell they had been through before the holidays, it was most definitely a big deal to him. he wanted to show Allegra that she meant just as much to him now as she did then and had been racking his mind all week on how to do so. most couples probably didn't make a big deal out of being together for only a month but he wasn't most guys and Allegra wasn't most girls. she was his girl and he had every intention of making a big deal out of every anniversary and a bigger deal out of the ones that really mattered.
he had debated on the idea of taking her out to dinner but really, Hogsmeade didn't offer much in the romantic form. except for Madame Puddifoot's and he couldn't stomach that place so he had left that idea in the dust. the idea he had come up with though was beyond romantic and he honestly couldn't wait. he had woken up that morning practically bouncing out of bed, even though he still had classes to attend. in Allegra's first class she was going to receive a box of chocolate kisses, thirty one of them to be exact, one for every day that they had been together. most guys sent flowers, but Evan was trying to do things most guys wouldn't do. every time he had seen her that day, he would smile and plant a soft kiss on her lips. no matter how much it had made him blush, he wanted to make her feel special and that was all that mattered to him. when classes had come to an end Evan had rushed back to his dorm to gather the things he needed then headed up to one of the empty towers. he had never really noticed it before but well he was walking towards the tower all he saw were couples. they were everywhere. most of them caught in intense snogging sessions. some were being a bit discrete with their actions being done in a corner but others, well they were putting it on display without any shame. Evan had actually caught himself stopping once and just starring at a couple that looked as though if they didn't get to a dorm room soon fellow students would be seeing more of them then most desired. when he had caught himself staring he shook his head and continued on towards the tower, never imagining doing such a thing himself. sure he had the same desires as any other guy and Allegra was about the only girl that could push his limits but he still had enough respect for others to want to be behind closed doors. not to mention more respect for Allegra to even try something like that out in the public. not that their relationship had reached that part yet. don't get Evan wrong, he wanted Allegra more then he had ever wanted any other girl, but there was no way he was ever going to push her. he figured when it was that time for them it would happen, but until then he was content with just holding her. with a single kiss Allegra could send him over the edge but he was amazed at his own control. as long as he had her in his arms he was happy.
sure they had a few rather intense snogging sessions but they never really went further then that and he was happy with things remaining that way. taking the steps two at a time until he reached the top of the tower, smiling when he did so. looking around the round room that he found himself in he smiled at himself setting right to work. setting the bag he had brought with him down upon the ground and taking his wand out of his pocket. pointing it at the far wall making a large projecting screen appear. the plan was that they watched a bunch of old movies and spend the night in each others arms. he honestly couldn't think of a better way to spend the night but the only thing that really mattered to him was that she was there. with the help of magic Evan covered every one of the opened windows that way no cold air would get in since it was still winter. decorating the room to make it look a bit more romantic with black curtains, to also make the room darker which would assist with the movies. placing no flame candles in the windows to give the room a bit of a glow, impressed with himself that he had come up with this all by himself. placing a bunch of cushions and pillows where he thought they could sit, along with a couple of blankets in case they got cold. though he would more then happily warm his girlfriend up. setting the flowers he had bought Allegra upon the cushions, next to the picnic basket full of snacks that he had arranged. the room was completely done with the player for the movie along with surround sound all set up, Evan smiled at the finished results. tugging the note that he had written before coming up here requesting Allegra to meet him up there, he sent it off. he knew it wouldn't take her long to get there. that was when a new idea hit him. grinning Evan changed into his wolf form and then laid down next to the basket waiting for Allegra to arrive. hoping that he wouldn't spook her, since he knew he didn't exactly look vicious at the moment but a wolf could scare anyone. resting his head upon his paws, his eyes not coming off the stairs as he awaited his girlfriend. his eyes were still the same color and there were a few other distinctive marks that his wolf took from his human form. he just wondered if Allegra would notice them or immediately flee the room. he would find out soon. *----- so lace your hands around the small of my back and i will kiss you like a king they were together a month. an entire month. thirty one days. now, in the grand scheme of things, a month was nothing, really, especially considering they were friends for well over ten years. but on the other hand, it was absolutely everything. it was probably the best month of her life, too. it was thirty one straight days of smiling until her cheeks were sore, blushing until it felt like she had a sunburn, and being held so close, there was a point where she thought she would suffocate in the scent that was evan capper. a whole months worth of sneaking into evan’s bed and laying there for hours talking, snuggling or doing whatever it was they did until she fell asleep, curled up in his arms. it was everything allegra wanted in a relationship, and so much more. he was absolutely everything she wanted, and everything she needed. he understood her sense of humor, he got the fact that she would go off on tangents and start pacing back and forth for an hour before she was done with her rant- or until she fell over from being so dizzy due to the pacing. he laughed at her bad jokes most of the time, and the other half called her out on them. it was everything any girl could ask for in a relationship. he opened doors for her, gave her his jacket when she got cold, even if he was wearing a tee shirt underneath and she already had her leather jacket on, and he wasn’t even interested in pressuring her to do something she so obviously wasn’t ready to do. if sex was the reason she broke up with her last boyfriend (mostly because it wasn’t with her, but still the concept was there), then obviously evan knew that she wasn’t quite ready for it, even if he already lost his virginity to a slut with no self respect. she was over that though. when they were both ready, it would happen, no sooner, no later. just as long as he knew that, she was okay. she was way too invested in her music and her writing to let her hormones get the best of her. yeah. she was like every other girl on the planet and her moments when tearing evan’s clothes off was the only thing on her mind for a few minutes and had to force herself to cool down a little, but she never really acted on that. it wasn’t like she didn’t want to sleep with evan- she did. but it could wait. they promised each other forever, and they had all the time in the world to do all that. their hormones would collectively get the best of them eventually, and it would happen, but just… not now. evan understood that. no seriously, this guy was one set of vocal chords shy of being perfect. if only he could sing… but that didn’t matter to allegra. his amazing tone deafity (yes, that was a made up word) was what made him so fun to go to parties with. just to hear him sing, at the top of his lungs, no matter how terrible it sounded, was enough to brighten allegra’s day. evan was perfect for allegra, and that was all she needed. he was all she needed. that much was proved over the course of the last month. dating. for a month. yeah, this was still odd for her. she knew she would get used to it eventually, but for the moment, it was a nice feeling to be pleasantly in complete disbelief.
ever since she woke up in the morning, she absently wondered what evan was going to do for the day, or if he was going to do anything at all. when she consulted her cousin, she was told that one month was a pretty big thing for new couples, even ones who had been in love since they were nine. when she asked aus, she was snorted at, and told that she had no idea. as if aus had ever been in a relationship for a month. she didn’t even bother asking the guys, and she was yet to be on speaking terms with emeline. so all allegra could do was wonder, or risk asking one of the preppy girls in her class. well, that was a negative. wondering it was. allegra didn’t quite have plans, per say. she planned on spending the night with him, snuggling the way they always did, and probably doing a bunch of kissing. she liked kissing evan more than she would ever let on. it was obvious that she liked kissing the boy, but sometimes she thought she liked it a little too much, but whatever. maybe tonight would be the night they got a bit carried away? maybe not, she didn’t know. but she planned on spending most of the day with him. she cancelled quidditch practice for the day, which never happened unless the whole team was sick or dying, or if she was sick or dying. so this would be a nice break for the team, and they had evan to thank for it. homework could be pushed until the next day- no harm would come of a little late grade. it was alright. other than that, allegra’s plans were less than spectacular. hell, what was she supposed to do? she didn’t want to look like one of those annoying girls who were all over their boyfriends because it was a month anniversary. he found most of those girls to be pathetic. if evan had plans for her, then she would spend most of the day grinning like an idiot and turning into mush, the way she usually did around evan. she would never hear the end of it from fish and the guys, or even aus for that matter. but that was okay. as soon as classes were over, evan would be all hers, and that was what mattered most. she loved him, and she was happy to admit that to anyone that wanted to listen, or even those that didn’t. when she woke up, she woke up to slide that morning. that in itself was a good omen. she didn’t quite remember how she got back to her bed, but it probably had something to do with mav, fish and evan carrying her most of the way. it wouldn’t shock her. all she knew was that she woke up wearing the sweats she threw on after practice that day and with her hair half in, half out of the ponytail it was in the night before. waking up to the goo goo dolls was usually a good thing in general. they were her favorite, and waking up to one of her favorite songs was even better. it was like the world wanted her to have a good day.
once she rolled out of bed, allegra shimmied into her favorite pair of skinny jeans (which was a task in itself sometimes- they were called skinny jeans for a reason) and one of her signature ‘lumberjack flannel’ shirts. she loved those things. they were so comfy. after she was just about dressed and had her hair brushed and her eyeliner perfectly drawn on, allegra pulled on a matching pair of converse before reaching for her leather jacket and hurrying to class. when she got there and took her seat next to her cousins, she was presented with a box of chocolate kisses. she immediately broke out in a smile, remembering the silver wrappers that were spread out on the floor of evan’s cabin over christmas. evan knew that she loved kisses, both chocolate and otherwise. she munched throughout class, unable to focus with a huge smile on her face. this was going to be a good day. in between classes, when she would see evan, he would constantly kiss her, all sweet and gentle like. it was so sweet, and by the time she got to lunch, she was glowing. all through her last few classes, allegra was on her toes, waiting for turtle doves or immense bouquets of flowers or something else that would make her blush like mad. but nothing else came but the shower of sweet kisses she got from evan whenever they saw each other, and the reminder that he loved her. she could only imagine what he was going to do on valentines day. when she got out of classes, evan was nowhere to be found. there was something wrong in the back of her mind, but she knew that evan was probably out being adorable and making her cupcakes or something odd like that. that would be evan for you. so she headed back to the common room, nearly skipping. as soon as she got the note, allegra nearly sprinted up to the abandoned tower she was instructed to go to. when she turned the corner to get to the landing of the tower, allegra had to take a step back. yeah, the set up was gorgeous and all, but
there was a wolf. sitting on the blanket. next to the picnic basket. for a split second. allegra absently wondered what it was with evan and the blanket/picnic basket set. but then her attention went back to the wolf. she blinked a few times, not making any moves but her eyes, which were flitting around the room, searching for evan. “hey, uh, evan? if you’re uhm, here, i don’t know if you noticed, but there’s kind of a wolf on the blanket. just wondering if you knew. or if you’re here. or if i’m dinner. you know… answer any time now.” she said, swallowing. for a while she stared at the wolf, wondering why it hadn’t pounced, or even growled at her. then she looked at the eyes. those were… no, they couldn’t be… could they? “e-evan? you’re not… this is crazy. i’m talking to an animal, asking if it’s my boyfriend. good going, jaymes. way to make yourself certifiably insane. again.” she said, mumbling and slumping against the wall, sliding down so that she was seated on the top stair. “you didn’t happen to see my boyfriend, did you? or did you eat him?” she asked, staring at the wolf, one of her sarcastic looks on her face, as usual.

allegra corner word count • 1450 thread setting • empty tower; early evening listening too • electric shawn desman notes • hehe <3 credit • too moi![/ul] after everything that had went wrong in his life, it was really a surprise to Liam that things were finally starting to work out for him. he never really had it overly easily in life ever since his black outs kicked in, but for as long as he could remember Lorelai Corner had been his salvation. starting off as his adorable next door neighbor that he had fallen on top of through the bushes. then becoming his best friend, someone he could always count on. for them to even survive him falling on top of her was something to Liam, but now it was just something that they both often laughed about. he honestly couldn't picture his life without the dark haired beauty who was now his girlfriend. he couldn't imagine not falling through those bushes on top of Lorelai, it just wasn't possible. sure there might have been a more graceful way to meet your future everything, but Liam was never one for grace. he preferred the non-graceful approach, because then he was more memorable. after all, who was going to forget a little boy coming tumbling through these bushes and falling on top of you. no body. Lorelai most certainly hadn't and either had he. just thinking about it often made him smile. he didn't care that she wasn't pure, that sort of stuff had never mattered to him. a person's blood didn't make them who they were, well at least not in all circumstances. this didn't mean that Liam didn't have some friends in the pureblood world, he did. in fact one of his other best friends was as pure as they came. she came from the Bletchley family, a family that his father considered it an honor to know. the Capper's could have made a name for themselves if they wanted too, but they preferred life the way they had it. allowing their son to make his own choices, as long as he was happy and staying out of trouble. after all, they believed he had been through enough with his blackouts that they thought he deserved this. Liam adored his parents, they weren't just his parents they were like his friends. sure he got in arguments with them from time to time, but what child didn't? no matter what though, he knew they'd be there for him. he knew that they'd let him make his mistakes but they'd be there to help him find his way back if he needed it. he also knew that they wouldn't make him be with someone he didn't want to be like other pureblood families were doing. his heart went out to his best friend, having to marry a guy that hated her someone who was also her ex. Liam didn't even know how he would go about dealing with something like that.
it was really no wonder with all the marriage nonsense going on that Liam's own thoughts were going that way. he knew Lorelai and himself were still to young to get married, they were only sixteen after all. even if in the wizarding world one became an adult at the age of seventeen, Liam didn't think that was any kind of age to be getting married at. though he could see himself married to Lorelai at any age. just as long as he got to spend the rest of his life with her, then nothing else mattered. of course knowing Lorelai as he didn't, he wasn't going to rush anything. he liked the way things were going as they were right now. he liked the stage they were in and hoped it lasted forever. there was nothing more that he adored then taking her in his arms and just holding her. Liam knew he had always been more into the cuddling aspect of relationships then the actual physical stuff. he'd rather hold his girlfriend for hours then do anything else. call him a hopeless romantic if you want, but it just always felt better. there were times in his life where he could have become one of those guys that slept around, but he doubted he'd be very good at it. he had a one night stand once and was actually thankful that he remembered nothing about it, for he never quite forgave him or never quite being disgusted with himself. being with someone was suppose to be an intimate affair, something you remembered and to Liam it was something that should be special. sleeping with random girls wasn't special, it was something majority of the population of Hogwarts was doing now a days. these things were always too important to Liam for ever to really become a player. he knew that when he and Lorelai got to that place in their relationship it was going to be something to remember, it would be something to take her breath away. he'd never rush her and in fact was probably more terrified then she was. it didn't matter that he had slept with someone before, that was the exact thing that was making him more terrified then anything else. he had always seen his first time with Lorelai but then Jolene had to go and ruin that and now, well Liam was afraid that it would make being with her less special. he was terrified. so needless to say he was more then pleased with the way things were going between them. her kisses were more then enough for him and when she looked at him, well it made him feel like he was worth something. she was the only girl on the face of the plant that could make him feel like that.
the only secret that he had from his girlfriend was the fact that he was an animagus. well he had another one, but that wasn't exactly something that he wanted to think about especially today of all days. so today he was going to share his secret with her, allowing her into every aspect of his life. he loved this girl, more then anything in the entire world. resting his head upon his paws, his brown eyes watching the stairs for the first sight of his beautiful girlfriend. the moment he saw the top of her head, he lifted his head off his paws and looked at her. she was more beautiful then any words could explain. he saw her take a step back but didn't move allowing her to adjust to everything. he wasn't too sure what it was about the blanket picnic basket setting that he liked but it was seeming to become his signature move for his girlfriend. then again it allowed him to spend some time with his girlfriend alone and that was really all that mattered to him. hearing her words he laughed within his head, she was adorable. the more she looked at him, the more sure Liam was that she knew he was the wolf. as she begun talking to him once again, he bent his head to gently take the Iris that was next to him in his mouth. rising to his feet slowly to not scare Lorelai he walked over to her and set the flower in her lap. sitting down, his tail curling along the side of him, he tilted his head as she asked him if he hate himself. if he could have laughed out loud he would have. shaking his head in response to her question before turning and walking a few paces away from her. transforming back into himself, then dusting off the clothes he was wearing turning to face his girlfriend. "you aren't insane love, incredibly adorable perhaps but not insane." he grinned as he looked down at her. holding out his hand for her to take the grin turning into a full on smile. "i assure you i didn't eat myself, that might be quite difficult. i am an animagus. its the only thing you didn't know about me, so what better night for you to find out..." his voice trailed off as he reached up and scratched the back of his neck. "what do you um think? still love me?" Liam teased winking at her. merlin he was so in love with her. he really didn't know what he was going to do with himself. being this happy for the rest of his life, it was almost to good to be true. *----- so lace your hands around the small of my back and i will kiss you like a king rory wasn’t stupid, nor was she naïve. life wasn’t fair. life would never be fair. she learned that the hard way, ever since she was a kid. she would never be anyone’s idea of a perfect daughter. she was more of a son than a daughter, if anything. anyone could see that. she wore far too much plaid flannel to be considered a real girl. her mother never understood her daughter’s wardrobe choices, or her preferences in music instead of make up, guitars instead of shopping. so her mother had always been very cold, distant and excessively rude to her when she didn’t deserve it. if there was one thing that samantha was good at, it was shoving ideals down people’s throats, even if they would rather choke than swallow her kool-aid. that was how lorelai always saw it. she’d yet to wear a dress to any formal event hogwarts threw until this year, when she wore a simple dress and a pair of silver converse to the start of term gala. she did it only to distract james potter, seeing as the first quidditch match of the year was against gryffindor, and it was the best tact she had in her arsenal. it failed, of course. that was probably the reason that her mother loved emeline bletchley so much. the two had been best friends since their first year at hogwarts, all because of liam. eme was about the girliest friend she had. in fact… eme was kind of the only girly friend she had. samantha was gung ho about letting eme spend the night, or having rory go over and spend the night at eme’s. maybe she was hoping that some of the pure girliness of her would rub off on rory or something silly like that. but life wasn’t fair. her mother never approved of her, and the only person who ever did understand her was slowly dying. it was a muggle heart disease. her father’s heart was slowly failing, getting worse each day, despite the walks he did around the block every day, despite the fact that he was on a strict diet of salad and lemonade. it had been going on for almost a year now, and for most of that year, he kept the details of his sickness to himself. even when he tried to explain to rory what it was, she literally plugged her ears after the word ‘failing’ and started going “LALALALALALALA”, much to her father’s dismay. more than likely, he was going to be getting weaker and weaker and would have to do a lot of work from home. it wasn’t fair. she didn’t want to lose her best friend, the one person who loved her more than anything, who had been there from the very beginning of her life, the one person who honestly and truly understood her. if she lost her father, rory would be lost, even if she did have liam. as much as she loved him, he would obviously never be her father, and it would never be the same.
but things were starting to look up. her dad was getting… a little better. they couldn’t have fast food days and see who could down the most french fries in an hour, but he wasn’t as worried. she was still shaking from the idea of losing him, but who wouldn’t be? and anyway, she had liam now. she loved him from a very young age, and she knew she did. it was a different kind of love when they were kids. he was her best friend in the world, and one of her very first ones outside of her family. who could forget the day they met? he fell on her for crying out loud. even a memory charm couldn’t make her forget that. by the time she realized she had any sort of romantic feelings for him, she thought she was too late, and that she would never measure up to anyone he ever dated. veronica was a blonde, and she was gorgeous. she was still kind of quirky and musical, but not so much as rory was. and jolene… well, jolene was everything in a girl that rory would never be. rory was still terrified of the idea of sex, joey went around and nearly sold herself just for the hell of it. she was absolutely nothing like jolene, and she took great pride in that. but she didn’t think that she stood a chance with liam. after all, she was awkward little rory, the tomboy who carried a muggle device around in her back pocket and barely knew how to make up. she was no one’s idea of the perfect girl. who was going to take a second look at the girl in the flannel when she was standing with a bombshell like emeline bletchley? even when she dressed like a girl (complete with converse), she wasn’t even visible when she was next to her best friend. if there was anyone liam would’ve gone for it should’ve been her. not rory. but it was rory, and apparently, it always had been. the fact that liam had interest in her was more than enough to send her mind reeling. she had been through so much with him. her panic attacks, his black outs, her mom’s affair, her dad’s illness, their massive fight… together, they’d been through the ringer and back. but it was the fact that they got through it together that made them so much stronger. he was her rock, and if she didn’t have him, there were very few things she could do to keep herself sane. even though they weren’t talking before christmas, they got through it, and they were closer than ever. the slump she was in was over- or so she felt. the ring on her finger proved that much, and the fact that they lasted a month as a couple was even more proof. things were finally getting better, thank god.
the way they were celebrating was a little… sketch when she thought about it. why couldn’t he have walked her to the tower? why couldn’t they meet somewhere else? and why the hell was there a friggen wolf in place of her boyfriend? that made absolutely no sense to her. of course, she’d grown up with a fascination when it came to wolves, and her patronus took the form of a white wolf. it wasn’t so much that she was repulsed or anything, it was just… shock. not even terror… just shock and a little bit of fear. who wouldn’t be a tad shaky when faced with a live wolf? this wolf was different… bigger than a normal one, somehow. it was more animated than any wolf she’d ever seen. the way it was lifting its head off its paws the moment she walked in… and it was strangely calm. almost human. and the eyes… they were the same color as liam’s… to an exact hue. it was impossible, and she was insane. she had to be. it was diagnosed once, and this was just confirming the diagnosis. liam was sixteen. there was no way he could’ve mastered the animagus transformation by now… was there? but… but the original james potter and his friends were animagi, weren’t they? isn’t that what james said? and they were only in school too. and liam had always been good at transfiguration. she was quiet for a moment, after all of her babbling, and started to watch the wolf more carefully, analyzing things a bit more. it was the final move that sealed her thinking. he brought her an iris. “oh.” she said, almost kicking herself. only liam would know to give her an iris. there was more than one reason as to why her favorite flower was an iris. beside the fact that they were rare and beautiful in an almost fragile way, it was the name of her absolute favorite song by her absolute favorite band. “well. talk about irony.” she said as she examined the flower in front of her. she lifted her head as the wolf turned away, then looked back to her flower, not wanting to watch the transformation particularly. she felt like it was a private matter. “well. i’m glad i haven’t gone around the bend quite yet. too much life ahead of me to do so.” she felt strangely lightheaded for one reason or another. she took his hand, almost dazed. “so my boyfriend… is a dog. you… don’t have fleas, do you?” she said, laughing uneasily. she laughed at his last question. “of course i still love you, you nerd. how could i not? this… is so cool.” she said, grinning from ear to ear. she wrapped her arms around the back of his neck and smiled, leaning her head on his chest. “you’re adorable, by the way… happy anniversary.”
