majority of students tended to adore the weekends, mainly because it was two days that they got to be free of their classes. most enjoyed them because it was time they could go do as they pleased, where they could get away with just about anything because it was impossible to catch everyone who was doing something wrong. Nathaniel Carrow was no exception to this, only he enjoyed the weekends for a much different reason. during the week he had to be basically attached to a women who at the best of times he wanted to strangle with his bare hands. not only did he have to be attached to her he had to act like he enjoyed it, which couldn't have been further from the truth. leave it to his father to attempt to place him in an arranged marriage with the one girl on the face of the planet that he hated. it had taken everything in him not to out right laugh in his father's face for the mere suggestion that he marry Cali Davies. there was no way his father hadn't heard that the girl had been the one to end their relationship. his father tended to know more about his sons lives then either of them liked. keeping a secret from him took a certain amount of skill, of which they had of course but it still took a great amount of deception. the mere fact that Cali had even had the nerve to break up with him last year was astonishing but it amused Nate a great deal that it was now coming around to bite her in the arse. her father needed him, he needed the Carrow name and it made Nate smile knowing she had screwed up her father's plan. Roger Davies wasn't a man that Nate respected but he'd give him a smidgen of respect for at least trying to turn his family name around in the pureblood world. understanding what it took to make his family more prominent in the pureblood world and admitting it took a great deal, though it wasn't as though Roger had anything to loose really but everything to gain. his daughter was his ticket and it gave Nate a great deal of pleasure knowing that Cali had nearly screwed things up for her family. if he wasn't in need of a public girlfriend Nate would have told his father what to do with the offer from the Davies and he knew his father would have gladly moved on. however, he needed a girl who wouldn't want anything from him to help with his own deception. of course he hadn't known how hard it would be to be around Cali on a daily basis, at least without wanting to strangle her. he wasn't a violent man when it came to women, but Cali just about made him an exception to that. she pushed all of his buttons and not in a good way either. the only thing that kept him going through with the charade was the girl that he got to go and be with behind closed doors. his deception. his secret; Molly Weasley.
the blond bombshell really was going to be his undoing Nate was sure of it. she had been the object of his affection ever since they had bumped into one another in their first year upon the Hogwarts Express. when he had first met her though, she had introduced herself as Molly Burns. a last name that Nate had known was from a pure line much like his own and though he should have known just who that family was attached too he hadn't been able to put too much thought process into it. not with Molly's scent taking over his senses and her smile erasing all ability to think within his mind. he could easily admit that when he found out she was a Weasley at the sorting ceremony he had been disgusted, with her and himself. since the time he was old enough to understand his father had taught him that the Weasley's and the Potter's weren't people he was to associate with. they were blood traitor's amongst other things and therefore didn't deserve a moment of his time. how such a beautiful creature could come from such a disgusting family had puzzled Nate. his first year of Hogwarts controlling his need for her had been easy, he had simply begun to despise her and everything she was made of. labeling her as a dirty Weasley was easy. his second year was a bit more difficult and by the hormones had taken over his body in his third year, it had become impossible. fighting with her only fueled his need for her. he wasn't use to wanting something he couldn't have, it was uncharted territory for him and to be honest he didn't know how to approach it. it was in his fourth year though when things in their relationship got even more confusing. bickering had been their thing, it would be odd to see them together and not see them bickering. it had been during one of these non-sense bickering escapades when they shared their first kiss. it had been explosive, something he wasn't able to get off his mind. having just one taste wasn't enough for him. it didn't entirely change their relationship, they still bickered non-stop but now they were both aware of how much they wanted one another. aware of the sexual tension that radiated from the both of them.
if only dating Molly was an option that he could openly have, but unfortunately it wasn't. that was what he needed the fake girlfriend for. he wasn't exactly fond of it being Cali, but anyone would suffice. as long as she didn't want anything from him in the end that it worked. which was exactly what made Cali so perfect for the spot. Nate didn't want anything from her and they had already dated once so he knew just how to deal with that aspect of it. there would be no surprises and he knew she wasn't stupid enough to want anything from him. she wouldn't be in Ravenclaw if she was that bloody stupid. Cali knew how stubborn he was, and that he'd never forgive her for breaking up with him so wanting something from him would be like waiting for a snow storm in the middle of the summer. it wasn't going to happen. no body needed to know what he was really doing when he wasn't with her, they were only together between classes to uphold the part they both needed to play. staring at his reflection in the mirror as he fixed the tie to his uniform. his hair ruffled from sleep and his shirt untucked, looking as though he had just crawled out of bed. yet another weekend had gone by far to fast and he hated that he had to go back to pretending to be with Cali. running a hand through his hair as he grabbed his satchel and headed out of his dorm room, through the common room and down to the Great Hall. his eyes immediately going to the Slytherin table and moving slowly over the gorgeous blond that sat there surrounded by her friends. he could easily pick her out, even amongst a thousand blonds. reaching the Ravenclaw table his eyes left Molly and fell to his 'girlfriend'. leaning down he placed a kiss on Cali's cheek, even the slightest contact making him want to vomit. "good morning love, sorry i didn't meet you in the common room. i over slept. i trust you slept well?" sliding into the spot next to her, his eyes shamefully staying away from the Slytherin table not wanting to look at Molly well he was with Cali. not when he wanted to be next to Molly, or anywhere but where he was. "shall i walk you to your first class" Nate asked. if the circumstances were different the two of them could have made a great power couple, but they weren't. she was nothing but a pawn in his game of deception, a game that he was constantly looking for an out in.
