WELL ME AND CINDERELLA we put it all together• • • • • • • • • molly weasley was just plain exhausted. there was no other word for it. being the head of popularity within your own house and either hated or respected and feared was just... tiresome. she never knew it would be this physically taxing to be so popular and to have so much power. it sounded whiny and bitchy, but she had every right to whine. it was just hard sometimes. getting up early in the morning and spending time on her hair and make up was taking a toll on how much sleep she got, seeing how late she was going to bed lately. homework was killing her time, making it harder for her to find the time to pick out how she was going to make her uniform interesting for the day. all of that was getting harder on her. the added stress of thinking of the future that was rapidly approaching her. it was scary to think that she would be out of hogwarts relatively soon. sure, she could look to adriana to help her get a modeling job, which would be amazing, but she wanted to get it on her own. and it didn't make the time go any slower. that in itself was enough to drive someone slightly insane.
but add all of that on to keeping her relationship with one of the hottest and easily most wanted guys in the school was even harder. everyone knew that nate carrow and molly weasley absolutely hated each other. they'd been at each other's throats since their first day at hogwarts. barely anyone knew about the hours they spent on the train aimlessly talking houses and other little small talk, all the while slowly becoming attracted to the other. no, people didn't remember that. people remembered them for the screaming matches through the corridors of the school, or how they would always follow each other halfway to the other's common room before finishing the argument for the sake of finishing it, not that either of them were declared winner or loser. but that was always just masking what they actually felt for each other. there had always been a heat between them, electricity that no one else could really see, and that neither of them actually recognized was there. and now? now it was too much to bottle up. ever since new years eve, they hadn't been able to keep away from each other.
nate was absolutely amazing, and molly could feel herself slowly falling for more than just his tricks and letting him win. no, she was actually gaining feelings for him. it was so entirely scary, since molly had never actually had feelings for a guy in her life. even the guy she lost her virginity to was just that- a guy. he was no one special to her. at least not anymore. she used him to get to effie, all the while having a good time. so feeling something for nate was terrifying, and yet exhilarating all at the same time. it didn't matter though. he was getting engaged to that troll of a girl who called herself pureblood. she was absolutely despicable if you asked molly, and it was more than just jealousy speaking. it seemed like everyone was getting married off these days. even lucian, nate's twin brother was supposedly engaged to the troll herself- effie flint. well, at least they both had that in common. as she made her way into the slytherin common room, molly stretched her arms and smiled when she saw lucian lounging on the couch. molly took a seat on the opposite end, stretching her feet out with a smile. "well, lucian. fancy seeing you here." she said with a large grin.

seems like everybody's got a price, when the sale comes first and the truth comes second lucian wasn't all too pleased at the moment. sure, he'd gotten to see josslynn earlier in the day -- which never failed to put a smile on his face -- but there were other things that were getting in the way of that happiness. one particular person was getting in the way, to be exact. contrary to common belief, it wasn't just effy flint that was getting on his nerves. his own father was the one constructing all of this madness. if not for amycus carrow, he would have been perfectly fine. sure, the pureblood world would have scoffed in his direction every time he walked down the street, but he could have lived with that. as long as he had jossy in his life somehow, he'd find some way to deal with the consequences. but amycus wasn't going to let that lie -- no, he had other plans for his son. more important, orderly plans. plans that his family could look down and be proud of him for making. plans that someday, the entire wizarding world would turn to amycus carrow and thank him for ruining his son's life. yeah, making those kinds of plans were what amycus was best at.
but he had to give him some credit: had he not trained his children so ruthlessly, he might not have fallen in love with josslynn the way that he had. she was quite literally a light in his life, which seemed to be filled with darkness. but that was how amycus had wanted it, really. had lucian known that there was light in the world, he might have sought after it from the very beginning. but he hadn't, which meant that amycus could keep a closer watch on his son(s), and their aspirations. all this time, lucian really hadn't made any plans for himself. why did he need to? he could just as easily practice the dark arts, and in turn teach them to his children, which his father seemed to believe would be coming from the likes of effy flint. merlin, that was a ridiculous thought. effy flint stood for everything that amycus was -- which was primarily why he was fighting this as hard as he was. it wasn't obvious yet, but it would be soon enough. soon, amycus would know just how much of a fight that lucian was willing to put up. he'd give his life, if that's what it took. he and jossy had already made plans to run away together...and it was going to happen. everything had already been set in stone.
walking down into the slytherin common room with a potions book in his hands, lucian fell back onto the couch and flipped through the book towards the assignment that had been given earlier that day. it probably wouldn't get done, but it made him feel better that he was applying some amount of effort, regardless of how brief it was. lucian couldn't quit thinking about anything aside from josslynn, something that tended to happen quite often now that the two were dating. not that amycus knew that. or at least....he hoped that he didn't. knowing how his father thought, though, there still stood a greater chance that he did know. since effy knew, amycus probably knew. bollocks, now he was going to badger nate about it. growling for a moment, lucian glanced upward with furrowed eyebrows, which quickly lowered as a lighter smile drew itself along his lips. "yeah, fancy. so, what's the latest item of business, your majesty?" he jested, his smile quickly forming into a grin. he wouldn't be surprised if molly replied something along the lines of 'destroying effy's social life', but then again, he wouldn't exactly be distraught over the matter, either.

WELL ME AND CINDERELLA we put it all together• • • • • • • • • lucian carrow and molly weasley were probably the most unlikely of friends in the school- right next to her and arryn lestrange. the carrow and lestrange families were two of the most respected and feared families in the pureblood world. and the fact that they were good friends was like... against the laws of nature. she was a weasley, and by association, a blood traitor. it was stereotypical, and molly hated every second of it. she wasn't like the other weasley's. in fact, she was always more burns than weasley. she prided herself on being friends with carrows and the likes of the lestranges. it helped when you had a love hate relationship with nathaniel carrow. he was an instant ticket to pureblood popularity. even if it seemed as if they hated each other with the fire of a thousand suns, it still meant that he was paying attention to her, and that gave her an in.
the quickest way to a man's heart was through his stomach, or so they said. but if they were a twin, it was always an in to be close with their twin. that was the initial reasoning for being friends with lucian. but that was four years ago, when she barely knew him. by now, they were just... well, they were pretty good friends at this point. they were used to playfully picking on each other, and aimlessly flirting, for no reason at all. it was kind of a reflex by now. nothing came out of the flirting, of course. she was in love with his twin, and it was all in good fun. he was a good friend to her, and as of late, the only person she felt she could be sane around. as much as she loved evalee, the fact that she was all... morning sickness yesterday was a little too much for molly to handle. but lucian could keep her sane, for the purpose of just... being sane.
it didn't hurt that they both hated effie flint. she was the bane of molly's existence, and she was about to make lucian's life hell. they were supposed to be married, by order of lucian's father. molly couldn't imagine being arranged to marry someone. it would drive her halfway insane. she wouldn't mind being engaged to nate, but that wasn't going to happen. so instead, she was just going to deal with being single and seeing nate behind everyone's back. molly was almost taken aback by lucian's initial growling, and raised an eyebrow. no one growled at her, unless it was while seducing her and... but that wasn't the point. she shook her head. "hardly." she said, laughing, referring to being called 'your majesty'. "well, the usual. plotting the downfall of one e. flint." she said, her tone sour. "otherwise. nothing much on my end. yours?" she said, leaning her head back against the couch.
