tossing yet another owl from his father into the trash beside his bed, shaking his head. his father just wasn't giving up. here he was supposively dating Callopie Davies and every time Nate turned around he was being presented with other prospects for his future wife. the owls would come by the ton where as he himself would only send one a week back in return. coming up with reasons as to why none of them would do. his father wasn't a man that was easy to please but risking a scandal wasn't something he wanted. it wasn't as though Nate could tell him the truth as to why none of the girls were good enough. each girl was someone he had slept with at least once and they each had their own great quality, obviously if he had taken them to bed once already. the only thing was that they weren't her. if the bodacious bombshell that was Molly Weasley hadn't walked into his life, then Nate probably would have agreed with the first easy on the eyes girl that his father had picked for him. now though, he couldn't. now it just wasn't that easy. each girl he could easily find something wrong with. from the color of her hair, to the shape of her nose, to the odd shape of her curves. there was always something that turned him off and there always would be because the girl wasn't the one he wanted. not that he had entirely admitted to himself that he wanted Molly on a deeper level, but somewhere in the back of his mind the idea was there.
love wasn't exactly a feeling Nate was accustom too, and in fact it terrified him. the whole prospect, of giving someone even a piece of him wasn't exactly something that tickled his fancy. he wasn't the type of guy that openly admitted how he felt, whether it be good or bad. there were only a select few in his life that even remotely knew he had feelings. Evalee Nott and his twin were the only two that he ever talked too and yet they both had no idea of what he was doing behind closed doors. Evalee was friends with Molly so Nate wasn't sure why he didn't open up to her about the whole ordeal but he just didn't. he couldn't. the whole keeping it a secret thing added flare to everything and though they didn't need any help it was a nice bonus. the two of them had enough passion and flare between them to make the coldest room steaming hot. it was becoming harder and harder though, to deny that it was just sex between them. the girl had taken up more then enough of Nate's mind and he spent more then enough time thinking about her ever since meeting her, but merlin knew Nate was stubborn. he was probably about as stubborn as they come, a trait that he no doubt got from his father. it seemed to be a trait that run amongst the Carrow men, one any of them noticed or admitted too. in fact truth be told there had probably been many arguments over the fact that they weren't being stubborn, just to be right.
running his hand through his hair Nate stood from his bed and walked over to the window. spring was finally upon them and was coming in with a bang. a thunderstorm was brewing outdoors that had majority of the students locked away inside on a saturday. it was moments like this where Nate wished his ongoings with Molly weren't such a secret because he would have felt free to saunter down to the Slytherin Common Room and take her somewhere. he loved thunderstorms and loved just holding a girl in his arms during one. it wasn't exactly common knowledge though that Nate was even the least bit of a romantic. given the way he was brought up, most believed him to be a Slytherin in blue since he was a Ravenclaw. closing the window Nate grabbed his coat and headed down out of the Dorms. having no idea where he was going but figuring he'd know when he got there. stopping momentarily in the Common Room to see if there was anyone there that tickled his fancy. spotting the lovely Emeline Bletchley with her nose deep in a book he smirked and shook his head leaving her be. she was gorgeous but the girl had more problems then Nate cared to deal with right now. walking down the stairs and out into the corridors nodding to those that he knew as he passed them. finding himself down in the dungeons, sighing as he mentally cursed himself. if he went into the Slytherin Common Room and saw Molly he'd have no choice but to bicker with her and right now he was frustrated enough that he didn't want that. normally on any given day he'd bicker with her just for the fun of it, it was like word foreplay between them he swore. today though, he feared saying something he might not be able to take back just because of his mood. between the rain, being cooped up in doors when he'd kill for nothing more then a hard drink and his father's constant owls, he wasn't the most pleasant person. taking his chances, he entered the Slytherin Common Room after reversing the password. no one would question how he had the password, he had more friends in Slytherin then he did anywhere else so it wasn't hard to figure out. it wasn't surprising to find the common room full of students which only gave Nate pause. his eyes quickly scanning over the mass of students expecting at any moment to see that familiar head of red hair. when he didn't see her he released a breath he didn't realize he was holding and promptly turned around.
given that he couldn't go out to get a hard drink, Nate figured he would make due with the next best thing and made his way to the kitchens. butterbeer would just have to do until the bloody rain passed and he could get down to diagon alley. reaching out and tickling the pair he entered the Kitchens, giving it a quick scan to see if he was alone. spotting another figure in there would have usually made Nate leave, but he knew that figure. within seconds he already started feeling better. stepping up beside his twin brother and taking the stool next to him he grinned. "out of all the places in Hogwarts i could run into you, it of course has to be the Kitchens." he teased his older brother. of course only being older by mere minutes since they were twins. "trying to find a good hiding place to hold out the rain as well then?" Nate asked as a house-elf approached him to take his order. getting himself a butterbeer almost promptly was his only worry for the moment. if he got hungry he'd simply cross that bridge when he got there. for now it was nice to be in the company of his brother, one of the only people that could calm his mood when he was feeling the way he was.
