We are Erised! We are a highly personal and interactive roleplay community. Established in 2002, Erised has survived both the Avidgamers crash and the AcornRack wipe out. This is owed to our always devoted members who helped salvage pieces of the forum! Erised is considered by many to be The Original Marauders Era Roleplay!

Ability Level Required:
Any welcome. Our players run the gamut from beginner through advanced. Some write 2 paragraphs, some practically write essays, and some do a mix. As long as you have at least 2 paragraphs, people tend not to bother you about length. (If you want to work up to longer posts, go to the admins- we'll get you writing 1000-word posts in no time!)

# The Tattler- An independent tabloid started by an anonymous student circulated around school at random intervals where they talk about things their classmates have done recently. (Be warned, virtually any thread you're in at school is fair game for the Tattler- those portraits can talk too, and you never know who might be listening...)
# The Pegboards: present in every common room, the INTENDED purpose is for announcements to be posted on them by students to advertise new clubs- but the REAL purpose, as the kids have made it? Lots of badmouthing their peers! You can post on them even if your character would never do such a thing; just label the writer as NPC so it's known not to be your character. You can even have NPCs write demeaning graffiti about your character to create rumors and drama!
# A section outlining past site plot in case anyone wants to draw information from that to help with their history section of the application. (In fact, we look very kindly on people who do, though of course mentioning site plot history is not required! It helps with the length though, for those who find it a hard section to finish.)
